"The Painting Prize that unites Art and Business." Under this motto, the event was held last Saturday in the Bodegas Estévez in Jerez, the gala of the First Pepe Estévez Painting Prize, sponsored by Novosinda and Estévez Group.
The event, hosted by Marisa C. Azcárate and José Ramón Estévez, representing the sponsoring companies, became a vibrant canvas of color where art and business came together.

More than 260 personalities from the world of art, business, communication, banking and politics, paid a well-deserved tribute to the figure of the businessman Pepe Estévez, who, shortly before his death a decade ago, gave great support to the world of painting with the convening, at that time, of the first Tio Mateo Painting Prize.

We created our own unique gastronomic experience by serving a special menu for the occasion, based on the richness of the raw materials offered by the province of Cádiz and with the generosity of the people in mind. sherry wines From the Estévez Group. For dinner: Sanlúcar prawn salad with lollo verde lettuce and Poyoyo de la Sierra cheese cream with lobster roe oil, sea bream supremes with sea anemone sauce from the Bay, and a colorful palette. The winner of the first edition of Pepe Estévez Painting Prize Simón Zabell won with his work, Our Men in Tahiti. He received the diploma from Yolanda Eleta and the bronze award from Antonio Sanz. This recognition is in addition to the substantial prize of 20.000 euros. Meanwhile, the winner of the Emerging Painter Residency Award was Guillermo Mora with his project, Hidden Hantai. Besides the diploma and the award, presented by the Mayor of Jerez, María del Carmen Sánchez, he received a residency abroad valued at 8.000 euros.
